2022 - Cité internationale de la gastronomie et du vin

Dijon’s international gastronomy and wine center opened in April 2022.

 

About the center ?
It’s a space dedicated to the development of business and tourism around   gastronomy and wine where over one million visitors are expected annually.

 

Construction: Eiffage Group.
Architects : AAAB, A.-C. Perrot & F. Richard

 

  • Investment of €250 million over 6.5 hectares with total floor space of 81,453 m²;
  • Exhibition space of 1,750 m² explaining and showcasing French gastronomy and Burgundy vineyards listed by UNESCO: the Gastronomic meal of the French and The Climats, terroirs of Burgundy;
  • 5,000 m² of shopping area specializing in the food industry including Ferrandi and Village by CA;
  • A 4-star Curio by Hilton hotel with 125 luxury rooms.

2021 - Green Hydrogen

Greater Dijon set itself the target of converting its fleet of public transportation buses, as well as household waste collection bins to hydrogen.
The metropolitan area launched the construction of its first hydrogen  production center in 2021 to reach this goal.

 

  • €18 million – initial investment;
  • 1200kg center’s daily H2 production;
  • 1750 tonnes in annual CO2 savings as of 2022.

2020 - H2020 Response Project

With its H2020 Response Project, greater Dijon is reaching for carbon neutrality by 2050.

 

What is H2020 Response Project?
In short, it’s the creation of two positive energy clusters to fight climate change,  reduce inequality and promote sustainable economic development through the development and implementation of replicable technological systems.

 

  • 75% decrease in CO2 emissions;
  • 38% decrease in energy use further to thermal renovation;
  • 15% decrease in intelligent building’s heat consumption;
  • 65% decrease in public lighting energy use.

2019 - On Dijon

On Dijon is the intelligent and connected metropolitan project. It was inaugurated in 2019, making Dijon the first city worldwide to undertake such large-scale innovation.

 

What is On Dijon?

A single command station shared with the 23 towns in greater Dijon.To simplify management of public areas, this will improve and share urban equipment such as traffic lights, public lighting, security cameras and more.

 

Construction: Bouygues Energies & Services, Citelum, with SUEZ and Capgemini.

 

  • €105 million including €53,000 in investments;
  • 65% energy savings by 2029;
  • 34,000 lights renovated and all LED;
  • Over 140km fiber optics deployed.
